Quake also comes with the original expansion packs in addition to MachineGames’ Dimension of the Past DLC and a brand new experience called Dimension of the Machine.

Quake Expansion Packsīut wait, there’s more. Crossplay applies to all platforms, allowing players to enjoy either dedicated server support or peer-to-peer for custom matches. Bethesda also confirmed that players could take to the 4-player online experience together no matter what, thanks to crossplay, or they can simply utilize local split-screen. Have friends running the game on different platforms? No worries. With resolutions up to 4K and widescreen support, the enhanced models, dynamic lighting, anti-aliasing, depth of field changes, and the original soundtrack from Nine Inch Nails’ frontman Trent Reznor all compiles to be an epic adventure. I'm sorry for the rant but there are plenty of shooters out there today that have phenomenal controls for controllers, I know Quake isn't like most shooters, but with Quake Champions they tried to make it like some of the popular ones, or at least like Overwatch with its hero shooter design which I'm also not a fan of.As a whole, the new and improved Quake aims to remain authentic to the original version, just with updates across the board regarding audio and visuals. I wouldn't have to relearn a bunch of stuff if I could play on a controller, I would be able to focus on learning the map and figuring out the best champions, rather than trying to relearn a whole new control scheme. I know that PC is the master race and I won't argue because it doesn't matter, but everyone has their preferred way of playing. I want to get into the game but if I can't play the way I have been playing for the majority of my life, then I don't really want to play. I understand, its just that I'm am a controller player, I played Quake 2 on the Ps1 for many years and I played Quake 3 Revolution on the Ps2 and I know that those weren't the best control schemes but I have been a controller player since I was young.
